Hazel Roberta Gilbert

Hazel Roberta Gilbert, 95, born in Vineyard, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.   Born June 26, 1920, to George and Maggie Killion, Hazel attended Weatherford College and then taught grade school.  She married in 1940 and lived in Texas, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota and finally settled in Arvada, Colorado in 1962.  She enjoyed working at Carson’s Apparel and then Cumming’s Apparel both in Arvada, loved to square dance, and was a great seamstress. Joining her sister Ruby Lee, her mother and father, Hazel leaves behind many friends, family and four-legged friends. A celebration of her life and love will be held on Thursday, February 11, at 2:00 pm at Vista Village Assisted Living in the Great Room at 11800 W. 49th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado with Reverend Barry Hadley officiating.
