Gregory Eugene Berry

At the age of 51, Gregory Eugene Berry passed away on April 18th, 2017 in Denver, Colorado. He was born May 9th, 1965 at the University of Colorado Health Center to Sandra Jones Hughes. After graduating from Bishop Machebeuf Catholic he attended the University of Northern Colorado and finished with a degree in Economics. While in college he met & fell in love with Sherri (Willis) and they were to be married October 2, 1992. Greg and Sherri have two children, Olivia and Evan. For twenty-one years Gregory catered to the needs of his family by working for the Union Pacific Railroad. Amongst a great deal of other things Greg’s passions included traveling, cooking, film and making others smile. He was also an avid Denver Broncos fan, often exclaiming “Today is a good day” whenever the Orange Crush suited up. However —more than the Broncos, more than cooking, traveling or watching a good movie— Gregory loved his family. He would want everyone to know that Sandra Jones Hughes raised him to be a man on her own and that his love for her was unyielding. Gregory is survived by his mother, Sandra Jones Hughes, wife, Sherri D. Berry and children, Olivia Ryan Berry and Evan Gregory Berry. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses who worked hard to care for him. We’d also like to thank everyone that took time out of their lives to shed a prayer or kind thought during these trying times.
