Gloria Elaine Tolley

Gloria Tolley, age 61, passed away on Thursday, April 13 at home in Westminster after an extended illness. She was born in Denver and was the second beloved child of Aubrey and Nellie Ladwig. Gloria, beloved daughter, is survived by her parents, Aubrey and Nellie Ladwig, her husband, Gerald Lynn Tolley, daughter, Aimee McMurtry (Leo Jr.), son, Gregg McMurtry, grandchildren, Leo III and Eli, Brothers, Nathan (Teresa), Mark (Renee), sister in law Jeni and numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffery, Nick McMurtry, his father, grandparents, Aubrey & Cora, and brother, Russell. When she was a little girl, Gloria liked Barbies. She was a good student and enjoyed school. In her high school years she enjoyed church, and Bible study. She got her first job at Hallmark and liked Precious Moments and started collecting the figurines. She moved to California and returned to Arvada over 20 years ago. When people would visit her in California, she was a great hostess taking them to the famous tourist spots. Gloria loved watching the Denver Broncos. Gloria was a sweet spirit whose smile would light up a room. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed visiting them especially on the holidays where she would toil for hours to bring her special treats for everyone. She had such a great laugh. When she laughed, she made others laugh. Gloria is at peace with her heavenly Father and has joined her family. She will be deeply missed by many of us whose lives were touched by her. Funeral Services will be Monday 24, 2017 @ Crossroads Chapel 9901 W. 50th Ave. Wheat Ridge Co. Viewing at 12:00 followed by Services at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery following Funeral Services.
