Glenn Warren Yarrington

Glenn Warren Yarrington was born in Wray, Colorado, on December 1, 1927, to Gladys and Warren Yarrington. The family moved to Denver in 1936. Glenn graduated from South High School, Denver, CO in 1945. Glenn attended Barnes Business College, Denver, CO, graduating in 1947. Glenn married Joy L. Trainer in 1949. One son was born to this couple, Jon W. Yarrington, in 1956. Glenn's career was in auto parts sales for a variety of automobile dealerships as well as private companies. Glenn's interests included volunteering with the Denver Police Auxiliary in traffic and crowd control. In 1972 Glenn was divorced. On 6/4/83 he married Jenny L. Truesdell. Jenny had 2 children from her previous marriage to Fred Truesdell, Scott A. born in 1958 and Lee Anne, born in 1960. Following both Glenn's retirement in 1989 and Jenny's retirement in 1993 from the Denver Chevrolet Zone Office, they enjoyed many trips both overseas as well as within the United States. In Glenn's latter years he was a volunteer with the Denver International Airport's "Ambassadors Program." Both Glenn and Jenny were active members of King of Glory Lutheran Church. Glenn served as part of the church's Facilities Management team for many years until failing eyesight ended this task. Glenn passed away in Denver, Colorado, following a brief illness on March 19, 2019. Glenn is survived by his wife Jenny, her 2 children Scott (Sheryl) of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, and Lee Anne (Tom) of Morgan Hill, California, and Glenn's son Jon (Floyd) of Denver, CO, as well as 2 granddaughters Tirzah and Jessi Kay and 5 great grandchildren. Donations may be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church, 10001 W 58th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80002 or the charity of your choice. Glenn's memorial service was held at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Arvada on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. He was inurned at the Columbarium at King of Glory Lutheran Church.
