Glenn Lasater, 78, passed away December 30, 2023, in Peyton, CO surrounded by loving family.
Glenn was born June 22, 1945, to Harry and Marie (Hawkins) Lasater. He attended school in Mt. Vernon, IL and Kansas City MO and KS. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School and earned a BA and Management Degree from Park University in Parkville, MO.
Glenn served his country with distinction: first with a four-year enlistment in the US Air Force from 1963-1967, then as a Signal Corps officer in the US Army from 1969-1986, with several overseas deployments.
Glenn married Carol Gene Carlson in Anchorage, AK. on February 3, 1967. Their son, Jordan, was born April 26, 1973, at Ft. Lewis, WA. Carol passed away, after 50 years of marriage on November 7, 2017.
Glenn and Carol settled in Denver, CO, after he retired from the military, where Glenn continued serving his community. He was a Blue Lodge Mason, 32 Degree member of the Scottish Rite, former member of the York Rite, Sojourner and El Jebel Shriner. He also volunteered with the Denver Police Department for five years.
Glenn was an avid off-road Jeep and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Colorado Military Jeepers, Mile Hi Jeep Club and American Legion Riders for many years.
Glenn married Deidre Tygart on June 8, 2019, and added her son, Matthew and daughter-in-law Shanda, and their three children to his family. Glenn battled cancer in 2019 and after successfully completing chemotherapy he and Deidre moved to full time RV living and spent the next several years traveling and checking things off his bucket list.
Glenn is preceded in death by his wife Carol, his brother Luty, and his parents.
Glenn is survived by his son, Jordan (Ashley), wife Deidre, her son Matthew (Shanda) and three children, sister Jo Truty (Phil), sister-in-law Sue Lasater and two nieces and two nephews, as well as four cousins.
Glenn will be remembered by the many, who’s lives he touched, for his intelligence, humor, warmth, compassion and guidance, in their lives.
