September 5, 1957 - January 3, 2012 It is with great sorrow and joy we say goodbye to Glen Abercrombie. The sorrow comes from knowing how deeply he will be missed -- his quiet strength, his courage, his generosity, and most of all his presence in our day to day lives. The joy comes in knowing that Christ has destroyed death through His own death and resurrection, uniting us with Him for eternity. No more pain, sorrow, or suffering -- his soul has been healed. We praise and trust our good and merciful God and Savior, and thank Him for his life. Glen was born September 5, 1957. His father William and mother Peggy and sister Sherry Coblel are deceased, his brother Harry lives in Oklahoma. Glen worked at Coors/Coorstek for 30 years where he met the love of his life, Cheryl. They married May 16, 1981 and have enjoyed a happy life together for 30 years. Glen was a trustee and active member of the Arvada Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.). Glen is remembered by his wife, Cheryl (Steck) Abercrombie and their son Jason Abercrombie; his siblings, Harry Abercrombie of Oklahoma, Mike Steck, Mark Steck, Sally Steck, Matt and Allison Steck, Shelley (Steck) and Mike Krause; his beloved nieces and nephews; many family members; and his friends and coworkers. A memorial service will be held January 7, 2012 at the F.O.E. 5312 Sheridan Blvd., Arvada, CO 80002. All are welcome to celebrate the life of Glen Abercrombie.
