Born on August 17, 1948, in Leadville Colorado, George lived life rich in experiences, love and service. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force, dedicating 22 years of his life to his country. After his military career, George continued to contribute to his community while working for the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary by providing comfort and care to families who had lost loved ones.

In 2009, he fulfilled a dream by opening the Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home in Arvada, Colorado, a place where he could offer personalized care and support to grieving families. His commitment to care did not stop with his business however, as he volunteered his free time within the community. He spent time with Sisters of Charity, VFW's and many local car clubs. His love for these cars extended beyond personal enjoyment; he cherished sharing them with family and friends, inviting them to take rides in any new addition to his impressive collection. “Let’s go for a ride” was a phrase that echoed through his life, signifying the adventures and moments of joy he created with loved ones.

A graduate of CU-Boulder, George completed the ROTC program before joining the Air Force. His dedication to service continued to manifest in all aspects of life, where he showcased his kind, warm-hearted nature. He found fulfillment in rescuing German Shepherds and had an undeniable fondness for chocolate and sweets, qualities that illustrated his compassionate spirit.
