Francis Glen McLean September 5, 1938 – December 14, 2016 Frank McLean of Littleton, CO passed away on December 14, 2016. Born in 9/5/1938 in Central City, NE. to Glen and Ruby Mclean. Frank is survived by Sister Janice Elaine Shea of Omaha, NE, Daughters Shannon McLean-Stout of Davidson, NC, Keri Mclean of Littleton, CO, Son-In-Law David Stout Jr. and Shane McIntyre. Frank graduated from Tech High School in Omaha, NE. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering from the Municipal University of Omaha in Omaha, NE. Frank earned his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of North East in Lincoln, NE. He received his PhD in Soils Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. While pursuing his education, Frank also served 8 years in the Army Reserves. Frank had a long and fulfilling engineering career with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg, MS and San Francisco, CA. In 1982 Frank took an opportunity with the Bureau of Reclamation in Lakewood, CO. While in CO he also enjoyed working as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado University. Frank concluded his 32 year career in Colorado, retiring from the Federal Government in 2004. Frank obtained his pilot’s license early on and enjoyed flying for recreation. He loved being in the air, especially when family joined him. He appreciated time outdoors and a good round of golf. Frank was also involved with the NRA and proud to be an Endowment Member . During his life, he dedicated himself to his career and family. He was a loving Father and wonderful provider who took great pride in his work and professional reputation. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at The Den at Fox Hollow Golf Course 13410 Morrison Rd, Lakewood, CO 80228. Please join us for an open house to include a breakfast buffet from 11am-2pm. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Denver Hospice or Angel Heart Meals.
