Frances Ella Gee, 94, passed away on November 25, 2020 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, on December 8, 2020. Frances was born in Lockwood, Missouri and was the youngest of six children of Rev. Theodore and Ella Dorthea Annetta Droegemueller on May 27, 1926. She graduated high school in Palmer, Nebraska, then worked in a cafe where she met her future husband, Wayne Avery Gee. The two married on June 19, 1947, and lived in Palmer until 1959, when they moved to Denver. She remained at home to raise her two sons with much love. Later, she worked in manufacturing, doing skilled and detailed hand work until her retirement. She dearly loved her family, her home, long rides in the mountains, cloud watching, and spending time with friends and relatives. She was a gentle soul and always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Wayne (2005) and her granddaughter Katherine (2019). She is survived by her two sons Merle (Rebecca) and Lowell (Mary); grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Travis, Philip, and Amanda, and eight great grandchildren. We would request donations be made to any Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
