Emil Martin Olson

Emil Martin Olson, 68 of Wheat Ridge, passed away on February 7, 2017 after a short battle with liver cancer. He was born in Sioux City, IA and adopted by Ernest and Mildred Olson of Sloan, IA. He is survived by sons Kyle (Jessica) Olson of Arvada, Keith Olson of Arvada and their mother Celeste Olson of Arvada. Grandchildren Avery, Evan and Levi Olson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sisters Judith Bartell of PA, Debra Rauch of TX, and Gayle Little of WY. He graduated from the University of Colorado with an MBA in 1972 and worked in computers. Emil had recently celebrated 24 years of sobriety and was heavily involved in mentoring others in Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a 10 year lung transplant recipient, and was active in his local respiratory rehab program. He loved to fish, play with his grandkids, and have coffee and conversation with friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Foothills Community Church in Arvada.
