Elizabeth Charlene Polk

Elizabeth (Lonnie) Polk passed away in her home on September 16th at age 87. Born and raised in northern Colorado, Lonnie graduated from Mead High School, and later, Presbyterian School of Nursing in Denver. Lonnie was happily married to Bill Polk (Deceased) for 62 years before his passing in 2014. Her dear sister and best friend, Sarah Jones preceded her as well. Bill and Lonnie lived in Arvada for 54 years, where they raised three children: Charlene, Dennis (Pam), and Michael. Lonnie is also survived by her grandchildren Patrick (Kelsey), Ryan (Joleen), Christopher (Stephanie); great-grandchildren Fischer and Reese; three brothers, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at the Arvada Covenant Church 5555 Ward Road in Arvada on Monday September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution in mom’s memory to the Arvada Community Food Bank.
