July 22, 1930 - February 7, 2013 Edwin Ethan Pearman born July 22, 1930 in Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully with family at his bed side on February 7, 2013, in Westminster, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Nina Jo Pearman, four children and spouses; Beth and Steve, Patty and Gene, Shaun and Terri and Jennie, seventeen grandchildren, Twenty-Three great grandchildren and many other relatives. He led a full fun filled life never missing the chance to play a prank on someone. He loved people, horses and Irish music and most of all wearing his torn up overalls! His favorite foods were candy and cinnamon rolls. He traveled the US with his family in an old converted school bus. Edwin was an Eagle Scout and later became a proud Marine who fought in the Korean War the Frozen Chosen, and was a Purple Heart recipient. He held the rank of a Staff Sargent. He also boxed with Corky Gonzales and was the feather lite champion in the Golden Glove Boxing. Edwin was involved in the Quarter Midget Racing with his son, Shaun, Girl Scouts, Job's daughters, Rainbow girls with his daughters Beth and Patty, Westernaires with daughter, Jennie. Edwin founded and ran many businesses. He began his first one as a young teen selling balloons out of a cart on Colfax for a penny each, averaging $30.00 a month. He always said he'd have been a millionaire if he would have kept selling them. The next one started with a dump truck that his mother helped him purchase from Hoover Ford for $25.00. He had a blacksmith shop in Lafayette called Chubby Boys, he also had a landscaping business putting in most of the lawns in old Northglenn including a large park. These were followed by Ed's Service and Supply, Westminster Iron and Metal and most fun and still operating by family is Canland Recycling Center! He was also a Mechanic in the Marines, Hoover Ford, the US Postal and Beth Edan Baptist Church. Edwin;s buggest love was for his Lord and Savior, his wife and family and all his friends. He knew no strangers and was a very generous man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, 6-8 pm at First Denver Friends Church. Funeral Service will be held Sunday February 17, 2:00pm also at First Denver Friends Church. Graveside Service to be held Monday February 18, 2013, 9:15am, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home.
