April 14, 1923 - March 7, 2013 Edward “Ed” Bedford of Joliet, Illinois passed away on March 7, 2013. He was 89 years old. Ed was born April 14, 1923 in Joliet, Illinois. He is preceded by his parents; Edward and Myrtle (Blood) Bedford; brothers Russell and Westley Bedford; sister, Onieta Griggs, and wife, Galey (Malinoff) Bedford. He is survived by three children, Cheryl (Glenn) Rotkovich, Brian (Judy) Bedford and Brent Bedford, grandchildren Aaron (Vickie) Rotkovich, Marci (Jason) Maxwell, Dana (Keri) Rotkovich, Victor Bedford, Veronica Bedford, and Angela Bedford; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Jordan, Bryson, Jaelyn, and Brayden. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and worked as a lineman for Illinois Bell for over 25 years until his retirement. He was married to Galey (Malinoff) Bedford for over 50 years until she passed away in 2011. Ed was a lifetime member of the Masons Fraternity. He was also part of the Indian Guide group with his two sons during their youth. Prior to his recent move to Aurora, Colorado, he spent most of his life in Joliet. He enjoyed traveling and visited every capital of the continental United States in his RV with his wife and after his retirement enjoyed living in Florida during the winter. When he wasn't traveling, he enjoyed tinkering in his wood shop and playing pool. He will be missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be held March 21, 2013 during the hours of 6PM 8PM. Funeral service March 22, 2013 at 10AM. All services at Fred C. Danes Funeral Home in Joliet, Illinois.
