Edward Duane Lopez Sr.

Edward Lopez, Sr, age 51, passed away suddenly at North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton Colorado, on October 10th, 2017, surrounded by his wife, one of their daughters, Brenna, and two of their sons, Cole Henry and Kennedy. Ed was born on June 20th, 1966 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Fidel Lopez and Hilda"Lu" Heiney. He graduated from Widefield High School, and has worked for Harman's KFC since 1984. Ed was an extremely caring, loving, funny and hard working man who was devoted to his job and family. He enjoyed playing his guitar, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and spending time with his family. Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Haley Jo, granddaughter, Evelyn, his father, Fidel, stepfather, Bob, nephew, Chris, and brother, Bobby. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of almost 26 years, Chris,daughters, Savanna and Brenna, sons, Edward, Jr., Cole Henry, and Kennedy, son in law, Greg, daughter in law, Elesia, grandchildren, Christopher, Elonna, Adelinna, Gracie, brother in law, Eric, sister in law, Monica, nephews, Josiah, Timmy, Tyler, Tommy, mother , Lu, and several siblings, nieces, nephews, many other family members, and friends as well. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 10 am, viewing is at 9 am, at St. Paul's Community Church,8001 West 23rd. ave. Pastor Simon will be giving the eulogy. Reception will be after services.
