Edith Ann Ferris September 20th 1934 – March 9th 2017 Edie Ann passed away March 9th at Lutheran Medical Center with her family by her side. Her husband Robert describes her as the most beautiful, caring, compassionate, and most vibrant person he has ever known. Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit which is so precious to God. I Pet.3:4 TLB She is preceded in death by her daughter Becky Ann Stearns and brother Jerry Ritchie. She is survived by her husband Robert; sister Barbara Adams; her son Paul (Kimberly); and two grandsons Christopher (Kylie) and Connor. She grew up in South Denver where she graduated from South High school and later graduated with honors from Denver University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honors society and Pi Beta Phi sorority. Edie and Bob met while they were attending Denver University after his return from active duty in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. They were married June 22nd 1955 at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral in Denver, CO. She successfully taught in the Denver Public Schools and Tiny Tots Preschool program in Arvada, CO. She later on became the secretary and part of the administrative staff for Christ the King church in Arvada, CO. She retired from her position in 2015 after 45 years of hard work and dedication. Donations can be made in Edie's memory to The Church of Christ the King 6490 Carr St. Arvada, 80004.
