Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on February 10, 2015 after a long illness. Earl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty. Sons Pat (Christy), and Randy (Joan). Preceded in death by son Rick (Wendy), as well as by his parents Jule Hyrhm Carroll and Betty Lou Devern (Bishop). Earl is also survived by grandchildren; Anthony, Alexis, Madison, and Danny. Earl was competitive from an early age, excelling in sports such as baseball and football. He continued on in his later years playing on league teams in softball and bowling. Earl took time to coach as well, mentoring each of his son's teams in baseball. Some of Earl's fondest memories were those of growing up on his grandmother Jennie's farm in Madill, OK.Earl and Betty loved visits to Hawaii and on a cruise to the Caribbean. Earl took pride in a strong work ethic, having worked at Stewart and Stevenson for 35 years. He also loved his garden, delighting in home grown tomatoes and flowers, with his favorite being anything purple. Earl will be missed deeply by those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, St Jude Children's Hospital, Bonfils Blood Center, or the charity of choice.
