Dudley Leroy Martens peacefully joined his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years, Connie, and all his children, their spouses, all his grandchildren, and great grandchildren on January 14, 2019. Dudley was born on September 18, 1936 in Burlington CO. He graduated from high school there and lived in the area, during which time he enjoyed spending time with relatives and helping on their farms. He moved to Sterling CO in 1955 were he attended college and met Connie. They were married December 25, 1956 and enlisted in the Air Force in January 1957. He served his country for 4 years and then pursued careers in finance and real estate, the majority of which was in Arvada CO. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, golfing and RV'ing. He was a member of Kiwanis, Elks and Jeffco Republicans. He most loved family activities and attending his grandchildren’s various functions. Dudley is survived by his wife Connie, sons Nick Martens (Theresa) of Centennial and Kevin Martens (Teresa) of Fort Morgan, daughter Kim Coxsey (Donnie) of Thornton, 8 special grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. While he will be sadly missed, this is just a temporary good bye until we meet again in heaven. We love you Dad!!! He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helen Martens, and sister Audrey Hendricks. There will a private family service followed by a celebration of life reception for friends and family at Indian Tree golf course in April. Date and time to be announced.
