August 21, 1946 - September 6, 2014 Duane Dennis Drake passed away unexpectedly on September 6th, 2014 in Arvada, Colorado at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Drake, his father, Donald Drake and his mother, Elaine Jacobs. He is survived by his children; Brandi Bergsma (Richard Bergsma), Amanda Watkins (Michael Watkins), Charles Drake (Graziella Drake), Rachel Drake (Mario Espinoza) and Nicholas Drake (Amanda Drake). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Nichole, Austin, Abigail, Elijah, Isaiah, Riley, Isaac, Greysen, Finneas and a new grandchild on the way. Duane was born on August 21st, 1946 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Duane found enjoyment in spending time with his family, watching sports, collecting memorabilia, listening to music, playing instruments, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles and drinking his daily Mountain Dew. Whether you knew him as Father, Son, Grandpa, Friend, Coach, Band Mate, Chief, Co-Worker, or Tea, he was always that person who knew how to put a smile on your face. Duane touched each and every person who had the pleasure of meeting him. He is loved and will be missed by many. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at 1:00pm at Anderson Park in Wheat Ridge Colorado.
