August 19, 1925 - November 13, 2014 Dorothy Louise Nogues was born on August 19th, 1925, to Frederick and Marie Stabenaw. Dorothy was the middle of three children. She grew up with her sisters, Eleanor and Phyllis in Sacramento, California and spent summers with the family at Fall River, California. Dorothy married her husband, Bruce Nogues, out of high school. Bruce was a pilot in the Air Force stationed at a nearby Air Base. They met at an Armed Forces dance and were married soon after. Their marriage took them to locations in Santa Maria, CA, New Orleans, LA (Bruce's Hometown) to Crossett, Arkansas, then to her final residence in Golden, CO. Dorothy spent her life raising four children and working for The Colorado School of Mines assisting Professors with classroom and book administrations. Dorothy had a passion for playing Bridge and had become a Grand Life Master. She was a devout Catholic who received a Graduate Certificate in biblical studies. Her other passions were her garden and her great appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Dorothy passed away peacefully on November, 13, 2014. She is survived by her sister Phyllis and her four children, William, Elizabeth, Richard and Michael. Her smile, graciousness and positive outlook on life will be greatly missed.
