November 2, 1945 - May 18, 2012 born in Chicago, IL on November 2, 1945 entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patsy, 6 children, John E. Samuels (Sue), Kathy Truzskowski (Dan), Rick Samuels (Tomi), Mark Samuels, Marty Samuels, and Suzy Smith (Andy), 13 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grandchildren along with countless friends. He is predeceased by his parents Adolph and Ruth Gerspach of Mt. Prospect, IL. Donald retired from United Airlines in 2002 after 37 years as a dedicated Ramp Serviceman. Donald came to Colorado in 1986. He was an honorable, strong yet kind, gentle, witty man full of love for his family. Donald will be celebrated by his loved ones in a private ceremony. His final resting place will be Fairview Memorial Park in North Lake, IL. The family has requested donations in his honor be sent to Collier Hospice Center, 3210 Lutheran Pkwy, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 or hospice @exempla.org.
