Dennis was the son of Harold Kirk and Muriel Russel Kirk of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his two older sisters, Judy (Allan) Petrich of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Patricia (Paul) Kennedy of Grand Rapids, Michigan. And many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kimble Kirk, also born in Pennsylvania. Barbara's oldest brother, Greg introduced her to Denny. They were married in New Castle, Pennsylvania in August of 1979.

Dennis was a master carpenter and built many custom homes in Pennsylvania. In November of 1981, Denny and Barb moved to Arvada, Colorado. Denny worked at Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Facility for 23 years. He held several different positions there. He started as a carpenter then worked in non-destructive testing. Then in the labs. His last position was de-commissioning the buildings so they could be torn down. After Rocky Flats was closed he went to work for General Steel in Littleton, Colorado selling steel buildings. He was employed there up until his death.

In 1993 Denny & Barb had a son, Broderick (Brody) Zane Kirk of Arvada, Colorado. In 1995, they had a daughter, Victoria (Tori) Rochelle, who is married to Andrew Garling. They reside in Westminster, Colorado. Denny and Barb's first grandchild was born to the Garlings on November 25, 2022, Hugo Xavier Garling.

Denny's main goal in life was to share his love of Jesus Christ and the love that Jesus has for us. He attended Faith Life Fellowship in Centennial, Colorado. He loved to sing and sang on the worship team at the church. He was also a board member there. Denny loved to hunt and went on many hunting trips with his friends and family.

Denny's Family and friends were very important to him. He was always sharing a joke which made you laugh (and usually roll your eyes!). He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
