Our sweet Debbe peacefully passed away on February 6th at Lutheran Hospital after a long illness with her wife and sister by her side. Deb was born in Milwaukee, WI to Dick Radke and Joan Morrison Radke and moved with her family to Grand Junction, CO at the ripe age of 4 months. Growing up, Deb loved the freedom of playing and exploring the vast open spaces around the Grand Valley. She loved sports and was a member of the Dolphin Swim Club where she excelled in the breaststroke. Deb also played on the women's fast pitch softball team where she was a league winning pitcher and hitter. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1972. After moving to Denver in the '70's Deb worked at various jobs but her last and most gratifying job was working at DDRC with the mentally handicapped where she made life-long friends. One of the highlights of her life came in 2015 when she was finally able to marry the love of her life, Wanda Radke. Deb was a kind and loving soul. She was blessed with loving friends and family who adored her and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her wife, Wanda Radke, Denver; sisters Sheri Dunnagan (Dave) and Pam Nicholls; brother Rick Radke, Grand Junction; and her many loving nephews, niece, cousins, aunt and beloved friends. Memorial services will be held in Denver and Grand Junction in the future.
