July 2, 1973 — November 30, 2020

On Monday morning, November 30 2020 David Shane Dominguez, devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed suddenly at the age of 47. He is survived by his beloved wife Tammi Dominguez, his father David Dominguez, son Lewis Dominguez, daughter-in-law Morgan Fischer and 5 beautiful grandchildren. He also leaves behind his dearest brother Frank Womack and an uncountable number of loving friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Bobbie Sexton, his daughter Alexis Dominguez and his father-in-law Thomas Card Jr. Shane was born on Monday morning July 2 1973 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Denver Colorado. He spent his early years in California with his mother and older brother. He loved the beach and the ocean and learned to skateboard and surf. At the age of 12 Shane returned to Colorado to live with his father. They spent many wonderful times fishing and camping in the mountains. He was a pitcher for his baseball team and was taught to play guitar by his father. In 1990 Shane was dating Deena Fitzpatrick, they moved to Arizona and on September 15th 1991 Shane and Deena celebrated the birth of their son Lewis. They were married in September of 1992 and the family moved to Nebraska shortly after. In 1993 Shane moved back to Colorado and reconnected with his true love, Tammi Card. Shane and Tammi were married on July 4th 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shane and Tammi loved to travel and enjoyed visiting waterfalls, hiking and rock hunting. Shane was very proud of his Native American heritage and took special interest in learning about the petroglyphs, pictographs and ruins that they visited. Shane was a strong and devoted family man and a loyal friend. He adored and doted on his grandchildren and loved spoiling his wife with gifts. He loved his son Lewis and was proud of the father that he had become. He worked hard to be the kind of person his family could depend on and always checked in on people, when he knew they might need help. He was generous with his time and his money and had a genuine, caring and compassionate spirit. He helped others without being asked and was the kind of person who would stop and talk with his elderly neighbors and give money to homeless people and others in need. Shane had a goofy personality and took joy in making others laugh. Even when times were tough Shane could always find a way to lighten the mood. He was a comedian and his sense of humor will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was an adventurer and an avid treasure hunter. He loved rocks and enjoyed going to rock shows as well as making jewelry. Shane was a smart and frugal man and took pride in finding good deals. He collected bears and loved setting off fireworks as well as watching them from the roof of his condo. He was a devoted Broncos fan, cheering them on in victory and defeat. Shane was also a photographer, he was learning to take pictures of waterfalls and loved to practice. Shane spent many years working in the satellite industry. He was proud to be self employed and worked hard to make his business a success. Some of Shane’s closest friends were made while working and he cherished those relationships. He would drop what he was doing on a moments notice to help his friends and they always did the same for him, including helping and being a great support to his wife during this terrible time. Although Shane’s time here on Earth was cut way too short, he lived a life filled with love and laughter. He struggled and endured hardships but he always persevered and came out the better man. The agony of losing him has devastated us and our lives will be forever changed. David Shane Dominguez leaves us with a legacy of impact and one last example of him pointing to the beautiful and exciting unknown. In life we loved him dearly and in death we will do the same. His immediate family and friends will be holding a small private ceremony on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home.
