David Parker Doremus

David Parker Doremus, of Arvada, Colorado, formerly of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the age of 76. David was born to parents Donald Cornelius and Emma Louise (Tallman) Doremus on February 6, 1940, in Englewood, New Jersey. He grew up in Closter, New Jersey, and attended Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, New Jersey. David graduated from Alfred Tech (now Alfred University) with a degree in horticulture. He was then drafted and served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. On August 4, 1966, he married Ann Harriet Schastey. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Miller and her husband, Thom; his son, David Doremus, Jr.; his daughter Trischa Kyle and her husband, Tom; his son Donald Doremus and his wife, Elena; his sister, Debbie McEathron and her husband, Dick; grandchildren, Tony, David, Tesla, Amanda, Colton, Kayla, Elle, Jordan, Matteo, Tyler, Katie, Simeon, Neal, Lydia, Lisa and Wayne; and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kaiden, Clara, and Mason. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his granddaughter, Julestria; his sister, Linda Scharpf; and his parents, Donald and Louise. David will be cremated. A family Memorial Service will take place later this year in the spring.
