David Lantzy

David Francis Lantzy – dedicated Daddy, Papa and friend - passed away on April 30th, 2023 after a valiant battle with an aggressive cancer. We are devastated by this huge loss and he will forever be missed by so many. He had a kind soul, a heart of gold, a natural sense of humor and was a joy to be around.

David was the youngest son of Edwin and Margaret Lantzy born on September 13th, 1946. He graduated from North High School and was drafted by the United States Army. When returning from the Army, David became a member of the Brothers Fast MC, #105 “Loose Shoe”. He retired as a plumber in 2003 upon finding out he was going to be a Papa. David was a devoted Papa to “his boy”, Kayden, spending the summers fishing and always up to trouble together.

David called North Denver his home for all 76 years of his life. His passion was fishing and hunting. Family and friends will remember fondly David’s ability to tell stories. When you remember Dave, celebrate the good times and remember him for his big smile.

Being a Daddy and Papa is what David lived for. His pride and joy in life was his daughter Alison and grandson Kayden. David is survived by his beloved daughter Alison Lantzy and grandson Kayden Strock (Jaelyne). As well as nephew Phillip (Loretta) Lantzy, great nephews and niece, Ryan, Kyle and Cara Lantzy.

He is preceded in death by his father Edwin Lantzy and mother Margaret Lantzy, his brother Thomas (Betty) Lantzy and numerous friends that he considered family.

Funeral services will be held on May 23, 2023, at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church 4377 Utica Street, Denver CO. A procession to Ft. Logan National Cemetery will follow with entombment at 1:00pm.

Flowers should be delivered to the church the morning of May 23.
