David Earl Roberts

David Earl Roberts was a loving husband and father who passed away of heart failure and is now sheltered in the arms of God. He passed from this life on November 14, 2019 in the presence of his beloved wife and children. Dave was born in Wray, Colorado on March 23, 1940. We was the son of Charles “Babe” and Lois Roberts. After graduating from West High School in Denver, Colorado, Dave served in the Army Airborne division where he also played football. After leaving the Army, he attended Denver University and enjoyed playing basketball and studying business. On April 19, 1963, he married his high school sweetheart, Laura. Together they raised three children: Cindy, Rachelle, and Troy. Dave began his career at Ohio Casualty Insurance Company in 1966 and rose to the position of Regional Vice President. He retired after 35 years in 2001. He had a passion for teaching, fly fishing, and spending time with his family. He was dedicated to serving the Lord and worked in many areas of the church throughout his life. Dave was a beloved husband, father and brother who will be greatly missed by all of us. Dave Roberts is survived by his wife, Laura, and children Cindy, Rachelle, and Troy. He is also survived by his brothers: Jim, Chuck, Don, and Jerry and his grandchildren: Blake, Jarett, Amanda, Nathan, Megan, Acacia, Elise and Elianna. A memorial of his life will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church at 3601 West Belleview Avenue in Littleton, Colorado on December 4 at 11 am.
