Daniel Theodore May

Daniel (Dan) May of Arvada, Colorado passed peacefully on April 14, 2017. Born on May 25, 1968, Dan was one of five children raised in Arvada and Lakewood, and moved back to Arvada with his wife of 13 years Shannon (Lahey) May, where his son Tommy was born in 2010. In addition to Shannon and Tommy, his family includes parents, Andrew May, late mother Barbara May, siblings Deborah May, Andrew May, Anthony May and Timothy May. His nephews, and niece, Andrew, Kyle, Trevor, Nathan, Cole, Kayla and Tyler, were also an important part of his life. He loved them all, and they loved spending time with their favorite uncle. Dan is also survived by his brother in-law, Thomas Lahey, mother in-law, Geraldine Lahey, and his three sisters in-laws, Lori May, Donna May, and Maria May. Dan enjoyed spending time with his entire family and exploring the outdoors as an avid fisherman. He was a hard-working man with an extraordinary sense of humor and a wonderful optimistic view of the world that was contagious. To celebrate Dan’s extraordinary life, a Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce Street, Wheat Ridge, Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30am.
