July 25, 1966 - August 16, 2013 Dana Roy Schaeffer of Lakewood, Colorado passed away unexpectedly August 16, 2013. He was 47 years old. Dana was born on July 25, 1966 in Denver, Colorado to Robert and Gertrude Schaeffer. Dana is preceded by his mother; Gertrude Louise Schaeffer. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years; Michelle Rae (Theroux) Schaeffer, their 3 children; Sean (Beth) Schaeffer, Nechelle Schaeffer and Dage Schaeffer, 2 granddaughters; Daylin and Liddya Schaeffer, his father; Robert L. Schaeffer, brothers; Ed (Katrina) Schaeffer, Steve (Ann) Schaeffer and Dave (Jeanie) Schaeffer, and many friends. Dana loved to spoil his granddaughters, and valued his family time. His hobbies included; building car models, riding motorcycles, he enjoyed the mountains, stereos, music, BBQ's, playing pool, watching movies, working on/remodeling his and Michelle's home, working in the garage, cars, giving advise when asked, helping anyone at anytime, Dana loved doing good things for people to make them happy. He was truely an all around good person, and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. A private Memorial Service will be held by the family.
