Dana Marie Dalberg

December 19, 1963 - January 18, 2012 Dana Marie (Bigger) Dalberg, was born in Long Beach, CA. on December 19, 1963 to the late Sharon Bigger and went to Huntington Beach High school where she was able to surf for P.E. She received a Masters Certificate in Cultural and Spiritual Studies from Holy Name University, Oakland, CA. She loved to travel and experience the outdoors, living in Marin, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, CA., Breckenridge, Crested Butt, CO., Coeur d'Alene, ID., and Las Vegas, NV. She traveled the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico and Asia experiencing and loving the cultures and people. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, and outdoors woman; she loved hiking, rock climbing, snow skiing, rode and raced motorcycles and bungee jumping. She met Jerry Dalberg 1994 and were friends before becoming a couple in 2001 and she gave birth to her wonderful son, Dax Dalberg, which was truly her brightest gift and so cherished being a mom. She passed away on January 18, 2012 after a long battle with cervical cancer having 28 rounds of chemo and 23 paracentesis. Her own doctor called her a “machine”, having such strength and courage, and through it all never complained but always had a big smile for her son. Dana was the brightest light, loving, quick wit and teasing sense of humor, generous, fun and the greatest story teller ever. Dana, our beautiful love….wife, mother, friend, is blazing a new trail in the heavens and soaring with a beautiful set of wings. She is free and strong and making the Angels laugh. Your deep love, your incredible strength and beautiful light will always be with us. We miss you and we listen for you in our hearts and see you in our dreams.
