Connie V. Blea, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 6th, 2024. Connie was born, raised, and died in Denver, Colorado. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and Vice President of five children, always putting her family first. Connie had a special bond with her animals and pets, finding joy in their companionship.
A lover of travel, Connie explored destinations such as Cancun, Las Vegas, and California, creating cherished memories along the way. She had a green thumb and took pride in her gardening skills, filling her home with beautiful flowers and plants.
In her free time, Connie enjoyed dancing and listening to music, often singing along to her favorite songs on the radio. She also had a passion for gambling and even owned her own slot machine, adding excitement to her leisure time.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Blea, by her parents, Josephine Roybal and Joe Medina, her sister, Dorothy Lucero and her brother, Leroy Montoya. She is survived by her brother, Robert Medina and sister, Connie Ruiz, as well as her children, Angel (and Dan Sr.) Cordova, Robert M. Blea II, Roberta (and David) Munoz, Ronnie Blea Sr (and Laurie) Blea, Yvonne (and Gino) Lovato as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Connie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will always remember her as a kind-hearted and spirited individual with a strong faith in the Lord. May she rest in peace. A Celebration of Life is planned at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for April 24, 2024. The Eulogy will start at 10:30am with reception to follow at 11:00am.
