April 10, 1923 - December 12, 2014 Colonel Frank W. Rhea, 91 of Arvada, CO. First to Cross the Rhine Remagen, 1945. Frank Rhea graduated from US Military Academy at West Point in 1943. Colonel Rhea served the United State as an honored member of the United States Army earning numerous decorations and awards for more than 20 years. His service included time in Normandy during the "Battle of the Bulge", participation in the bridge across the Rhine and work at the Pentagon. Colonel Rhea was an avid athlete and intellect, excelling in tennis, golf and bridge. He and Sharlene traveled the world across 4 continents. Colonel Frank Rhea was preceded in death by his first wife Judy Ann Tribble and a son Roger. He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Rhea and her family of 4 children, spouses and grandchildren, his 5 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you Frank and you will be greatly missed. Graveside service 11:30 AM Friday, December 19, 2014 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, staging area "B".
