Clayton “Keto” James Walker, 31, unexpectedly passed away May 31, 2022, at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was born on January 11, 1991, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the youngest of three children to Gary Sr. and Kathleen Walker. He attended Catholic High School, graduating in the class of 2009. After enrolling in LSU, he received a Bachelor of Marketing degree in 2013. Clayton’s academic prowess, as he called it, and outgoing personality lent to his successful career in the tech industry, recently starting an amazing job at Salesforce. Clayton was a free-spirited, adventurous soul with deep connections to the people, music, and nature around him. He spent his free time hiking, climbing, skiing, biking, gaming, spending time on the water, and enjoying any live concert. Clayton filled his life with friends, family, and any stranger willing to strike up a good conversation. Any interaction with Clayton began with a warm smile and engaging conversation that could last late into the night. His quick wit and mischievous personality always led him to be the life of the party, making it difficult not to smile when in his company. He was a deeply caring and compassionate person, willing to do anything for those around him. His nephew Hank would describe him as his “favorite uncle,” to the chagrin of the others, always looking forward to his video game nights or playing “Super Keto Car.” The side less often seen was Clayton’s quiet and thoughtful side, spending time quietly reading or enjoying an afternoon in his hammock. He was a complex, lovable, unforgettable human. Clayton joins his beloved father, Gary Sr., in the afterlife watching episodes of Impractical Jokers and Senfield, talking sports, and sipping on ice-cold draft beer. They both remain in our minds and hearts during this time. He is also preceded by his grandparents Delmar and Nona Walker and Uncle Bill Matthews. Clayton is survived by the light-of-his-life, his daughter Blair, and his soul mate and wife Katie. He leaves behind his beloved mother Kathi Walker; his best friend and brother Gary Walker and his wife Dawn; his caring sister Rachel Norris and husband Thomas; adoring nephew and nieces Hank, Sawyer and River; and grandparents James and Helen Zaunbrecher. He also leaves behind his loving in-laws Cathy and John Jacyna; Mike, Amy, Cam and Keira Jacyna; and Steve Jacyna and Heather Luquette; as well as so many other cherished friends, family and coworkers. A Celebration of Life service (Clayton’s last “Park Day”) with light food and drink will be held at Green Farm Barn at Chatfield Farms on Sunday June 12th. Service begins at 11:30 am, feel free to come early to enjoy the grounds and greet the family - as admission is free for guests. Dress is casual and cheery to celebrate Clayton. The family will be scattering Clayton’s ashes on Monday June 13th, all are welcome (please contact the family for details). A second memorial to be held in Baton Rouge, LA, will be planned at a future date and time. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks for contributions to Blair’s education in Clayton’s memory.
