Christopher Patrick Goodwin

December 4, 1976 — May 9, 2024

Christopher Patrick Goodwin was born December 4, 1976 in Denver, Colorado and passed away May 9th in Arvada, Colorado.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Monnie Slackney and mother Rosemary Goodwin. He leaves behind friends in Colorado and Texas as well as cousins in Dallas.

Chris was very active in The Boy Scouts and received the rank of an Eagle Scout as a teenager. He attended St. Pius and Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas. At Lynch he was dominant on the cross-country team and served as the team captain and was in the National Honor Society. He later worked at Jack Johnston Bicycles in Dallas and became an expert bike mechanic. He moved back to Denver in his 20s and helped run the Arvada Bike Co. Chris also went on to own and run a Quiznos in Denver for many years.

He had a wonderful smirky smile that told you he was ready to crack a joke. He had a warm soul and was a big softie despite being incredibly tough and self-reliant. Chris loved his dog Moses, who is probably getting a good hike in with him now in heaven. He loved running, biking and baseball. Chris was a loyal Rangers and Rockies fan. He loved the outdoors, including White Rock Lake in Dallas and the mountains surrounding Denver. And he led by example and lived his life by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Memorials may be made in his honor to The American Cancer Society.
