December 19, 1919 - September 9, 2012 CHRISTINE ANGELINA JAKOPIC Christine(Tina)Angelina Jakopic passed away on September 9th, 2012 in Lakewood, Colorado. She was 92 years old. She was born in Leadville, Co on December 29th, 1919 . Her parents were the late Mary(Kochevar) and Joseph Zakraisek. Tina was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Devoted to her faith, she served on the Hospitality Committee at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Tina married Joe Jakopic on October 22, 1939 in Leadville, Co at St. Joseph's. Together< Tina and Joe had two children-Joe Jr. and Maryann. Joe and Tina lived in Leadville until November of 2004 when they moved to Denver for health reasons. Tina was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. She is survived by her daughter Maryann(Jay)Knisely in Denver; Son Joe(Jay) in Lakewood; her sisters Frances Stevens in Canon City and Josephine Malesich in Colorado Springs; six grandchildren: Ryan Knisely, Jennell (Rick)Darrow, Colin Knisely, Mike(Sherri) Jakopic, David(Janna)Jakopic, Matt(Angela)Jakopic, and seven great grand children. A rosary will be recited at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday September 19th, at 9:30am by Reverend Jessie Perez with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Jeanie Dawson will sing accompanied by Alberta Brower. Tina Jakopic will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery with a reception following at Annunciation Church. Arrangements were handled by Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home and Colorado Crematory.
