Charlotte Marie Palik

July 3, 1947 — June 8, 2020

Charlotte Marie Palik went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 8, 2020, at the age of 72. She was born on July 3, 1947 to Eileen Marie and Robert Paul O’Neal in Los Angeles California. Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She married Richard Frank Palik on November 20, 1971 and moved to Colorado in 1972 where they started their family of 6 and remained for the next 48 years. She was an amazing mother to her 4 children, Tanya, David, Bradley and Christopher, who still reside in Colorado with their children. She will forever be remembered first and foremost for her love of the Lord. Her bible was always open, as she would continuously pray and praise God, even with her last words. She was a counselor and comforter, dedicated and loyal to friends and family; she was a Sunday school teacher and joyful servant, always willing to extend herself to anyone who might be in need. Her home was always open as a safe place to live for family and many of her children's friends. As a mother she was supportive and loving, lenient but firm, involved but also standing far enough away for us to make our own decisions and mistakes. We love you mom and will keep you in our hearts always. Charlotte's home and heart will always be remembered by her children as kind, open, and loving. Even when they would break curfew, she had a unique way of gently reminding them to do better the next time. “I’m siiiiiiiick” will echo comically through each of them forever. Charlotte also enjoyed her time in the mountains, hiking, biking and skiing. She loved her hikes so much she would have Richard help her walk trails even as her illness made balance nearly impossible. She loved shopping and “finding deals” that she could give to those whom she loved, and also to those who were in need. She loved serving the homeless in Denver, providing food, clothing, and other items essential to daily living. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Paul O’Neal, her mother, Eileen Knapp, her sister, Sharon Epperson, and her two brothers, William O’Neal and Bobby O’Neal. Charlotte is Survived by her husband Richard and her 4 children; Tanya Novak and husband Robert, with their children Mackenzie, Maxwell, Carter, and Camden; David Palik; Bradley Palik and his wife Heidi, with their children Zachary, Malorie, Landon and Alexis; Christopher Palik and wife Lyndsey, with their children, Coleton, Cooper, Calvin, and Blakely.
