Charles Martinez

Chuck “Sonny” Martinez passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 31, 2023. Chuck was born in Denver Colorado and recently celebrated his 50th birthday with his closest family. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Cathy, his sister Candida, and his son CJ Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Norma, his daughter Monica, his brothers Matt, Pete (Selena), and sister Andrea. He was also supported and loved by his In-Laws Jose and Manuela, Nely (Jesus), Nora (Aaron), Nancy, Rene (Jessica), Ramon (Roxana), and Jose (Sanjuana).

Chuck was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a remarkable uncle. There was nothing more important to him than his family. He could always be counted on to show up for school games, birthdays, holidays, and any given Saturday. It never mattered how far he had to drive, how sick he felt, or how cold it was. Chuck loved laughing and making other people laugh with his crazy (and sometimes inappropriate) jokes, his silly dancing, and his movie impressions. He loved cooking and baking, Chuckii’s Burritos was his favorite creation. His burritos were so popular he’d have orders for days at a time ranging from 1 burrito to 200 burritos. They were delicious. He was the Denver Broncos’ #1 fan. It didn’t matter how many times they lost, he never missed a game, never missed an opportunity to shout and root for his favorite team. His family knew they could never go wrong if they bought him a Broncos gift. Chuck will forever be missed and will always remain in our hearts.
