October 23, 1926 - June 16, 2011 84, of Golden, son of Frank and Alice Strong born in Denver, CO passed away June 16, 2011. He was widowed in 1975 at the loss of his beloved wife Monica Krouse, and married in 1977 to Sally Stovall until 1994. He is survived by 1 son Neil Strong and 4 daughters Donna McWilliams, Carol Welsby, Debbie McNally and Nadia Kerns; along with 5 grandchildren and one on the way due in October, and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Strong honorably served our country during WWII by fighting for the US Army in the Philippines and Japan. He went on to be owner in Strong's garage, Strong Bros Excavating and lastly A-One Storage. He faithfully served in the Jefferson County Sherriff's Mounted Posse, obtained 50 year pins for membership as a 32nd Degree Mason of Harmony Lodge, member of Scottish Rite, and El Jebel Shrine. He lived life by the motto “if you are going to do something, do it right the first time.” He enjoyed life to the fullest and accomplished all dreams possible; from racing cars, flying airplanes, boating, skiing, restoring Mustangs finishing his last one at age 81, traveling in his motor home all over the United States, riding horses all over Colorado's beautiful mountains, faithfully raising his children with camping every year in the Flat Tops, mastered and enjoyed riding motorcycles all the way till age 80, working hard every day until his last with pride in every moment, and lastly his most amazing achievement was being the most devoted and loving father and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed along with one of the greatest generations that ever lived.
