June 11, 1936 - July 30, 2011 Charlene T(roester) Arge June 11, 1936 - July 30, 2011 Charlene T. Arge passed away the morning of July 30, 2011 after a long struggle with a respiratory ailment. Her last months were difficult, but she was strong and brave throughout. In June of 2011 her three children moved her from Midvale, Utah to Arvada, Colorado so that she could be nearer to her children and family and lovingly cared for by them. Though her last two months were very hard, she often spoke of feeling very happy, happier than she had ever been. She passed away knowing with certainty that she was deeply loved and cared about. Charlene was born in Murray, Utah June 11, 1936 and was the first of three children of Charles J. and Myrtle H. Troester. Charlene was married to Roger Lepore in 1953 and had her first child, Steven Roger Lepore, in 1955. That marriage ended a few years later, but she was married again in 1958 to George Arge. George and Charlene had two sons: George Mark Arge (1959) and Charles Nickolos Arge (1963). The family moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1963. In the late 1990s Charlene moved back to Midvale to be with her aging and ailing parents. She cared for each of them with patience and compassion until their last days. As in all families, there were ups and downs through the years, but in her children's eyes she was always the center and heart of the family. They adored her and she unwaveringly loved and cared about them. Charlene had many close friends through the years and was well liked, respected, and loved by them. Charlene was a strong, very practical person and not one for show, especially if it concerned her. She asked for no funeral or any other services but only to be remembered with a happy thought or a smile. She said “If you think of me with sadness, then don't think of me at all.” Charlene is survived by her three children and her two younger brothers, Ronald J. and Paul D. Troester.
