Chad Charles Scott Trover

Chad Charles Scott Trover, 45, of Arvada, CO, died Friday, August 19, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained from a lighting strike near his cabin at Crystal Lakes, CO. He was born July 4, 1971 in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Jan Jones and Charles D. Trover. He and his family moved to Broomfield, Colorado in 1975, where he attended Broomfield High School and later graduated from Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Chad is survived by his daughters, Jennica and Breanna; his parents, Jan Jones, of Castle Rock, CO and Charles D. Trover, of Sherwood, OR; grandchildren Zoey and Sadie Beckwith, his sisters Sara Lee Montag, of Castle Rock, CO, and Tami Trover Crosson, of Pinedale, WY; and his brother Jacob Trover, of Miranda, CA. He is also survived by his nephews, Dillon Montag, of Castle Rock, CO and Weston Trover, of Miranda, CA, along with his niece, Kelsey Montag, of Castle Rock, CO. Chad was a thoughtful son, loving father, and loyal friend. He was good at anything he set his mind to. It was always said that Chad could build a house from several rolls of duct tape and a handful of nails. He remodeled several homes and his beloved mountain cabin. He could repair everything, from bicycles to sports cars. Chad never met a stranger and always opened his home to anyone in need. His smile lit up a room. He will be truly missed by all the people he touched in his life. He was taken too soon. Chad lived and profoundly influenced more lives in his 45 years than most people do in a lifetime. Chad will be our guardian angel when we need one, and he will never be forgotten. Chad supported the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation by riding annually with the Ponzio Pedalers in the Courage Classic.
