1944 ~ 2016 71, passed away after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis Sunday, January 10, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Delores (Sandoval) Castro; daughter Dori Vigil; sons Arthur Jr. (Sylvia) and Julian Castro; grandchildren Elicia Vigil, Jessica, Nicole and Julian Jr. Castro; sister Elizabeth (Charles) Withers and a host of loving family and friends. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents John and Frances Castro; sister Theresa Ortega; niece Denise Ortega and nephew Danny Ortega. Arthur served his country Honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 ~ 1969. He was a Master Baker for King Soopers for 35 years of dedicated service. Arthur loved most sports. His favorites being football, boxing and basketball. Arthur enjoyed classic car's that he once owned, swimming, gambling, the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets and spending time with family, friends and co-workers. He was a amateur pool player in his younger days. Arthur was a proud husband, father, grandfather. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Crossroads Chapel located at 9901 West 50th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A reception will follow services at Wheat Ridge Recreation Center (39th Kipling) at 12:00 PM. Entombment in Fort Logan National Cemetery (staging area "A") at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
