Casey Oliver Puskarich

January 10, 1983 — July 2, 2016

Casey Oliver Puskarich, how can you be gone? It does not seem possible that you passed away on July 2, 2016 in Denver, Co. You were so loved, so full of life and love and humor. Everyone that knew you commented on your smile and your laugh. When you were born on January 10, 1983, in Wheeling, WV, you were brought home to the log cabin in New Cumberland, WV and welcomed into a loving family. You were a loving and very much loved son. Your dad, Ronald Lee Puskarich, was so proud of his little boy. and the man you had become. Your sister, Sara Arlou Puskarich, was always there for you and always loved you. She was so proud to be your "big sister" and always looked out for you. Your mom, Brenda Arlou Dhayer Puskarich was so close to you throughout your life...and misses you so very very much. Your grandmother, Marlene Arlou Ankrom Dhayer loved you and helped you through so much...You jokingly referred to her as "The Bank of Grandma" when she helped you buy your first home. She loved the title and wore it proudly. Your "Pap" Oliver Lee Dhayer, preceded you in death and was so proud that you had his name.. Your many aunts, uncles and cousins will miss your gentle smile. Your special uncle, Jerry Dhayer, preceded you in death Your grandfather in Florida, John Puskarich, preceded you in death and your grandmother in Florida, Mary Puskarich, will find her world a little less bright for you not being in it. She always commented that you and your sister always remembered her birthday. We moved to Hot Springs, SD when you were 10 years old, and you graduated from High School there. After graduation you took a memorable trip to Europe for two weeks. You divided your time between your cabin on the ranch in South Dakota and your condo in Denver. You worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 14 years in the Maintainance of Way division. Your co workers that attended your viewing (and there were SO many of them ) ALL commented on what a good man you were, what a gentleman, a hard worker. That you figured out the best way of getting the job done and you were always right about what you suggested. BNSF lost a good man on July 2, 2016. You were so well liked and respected by your co workers...in the railroad industry, that is SO rare You were a kind and gentle man. You loved your cats, Fig and Menace, although you were never a "cat person"...Your dog, Nero, misses you ..We will take good care of your pets Casey. You were always helping your friends, you never turned them down when they needed something. You were just that kind of man. You never asked for anything back, you didn't help them for any reason other then you just were a good friend. You and Travis Klinger became best friends in grade school and stayed that way throughout your life. You were so lucky to have such a good friend. You were more like brothers then friends. I know you were looking forward to being "Uncle Casey" to Travis's baby. Travis came from Arizona to say goodbye. Jordan Schoenberger was another life long friend from grade school throughout your life. She traveled form New Jersey to say goodbye to you at the viewing. In the past year you had started writing short stories and publishing them on Reddit. They are AMAZING ! We will be sharing them on Amazon so others can see what an amazing talent you had. It was so hard to say goodbye. We had a private viewing for close friends and family and co workers on July 7th in Denver at Malesich & Shirey Crematory. We will always love and miss you, and until we meet again, know that we all loved you so very much
