September 1, 1940 - July 5, 2013 Carolyn Pennebaker of Thornton, CO, passed away at her home ** July 5, 2013. (unexpectedly due to an auto accident). She was born September 1, 1940, in Lodgepole to Ernest and Elizabeth Borm. After graduating from Lodgepole High School in 1958, she attended Parks Business School in Denver. Carol was very active with her children during their growing up years with school, sports and scouts. She was retired from Tri-State Generation in Denver. She enjoyed family gatherings and some travel. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Chris) Swain of Strasburg, CO, and Brandena (Phil) Wells of Carson City, NV; grandson, Alex Wells; siblings Larry Borm of Sidney and Beverly Lee of Cheyenne; nieces Kari Cusumano and Kim Borm, one nephew John Ruth; two great nephews and one great-great niece; many cousins and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, her son, Robert Pennebaker and nephew Val John Borm. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday July 31, 2013, 2:00pm, at Crossroads Church of Denver (9901 W. 50th Ave. Wheat Ridge, CO).
