Carolina England

Carolina was born on February 20, 1931 in Albaredo di Rotzo, Italy to Matteo and Mattea Dominica Dal Pozzo. Carolina met her husband, William England while working at the US Army Base in Vicenza, Italy. They were married on March 22, 1960 in Vicenza, Italy. After that date, Carolina began her life as an Army Spouse and mother of three Army Brats. Carolina (as her loving husband, called her “Car”) and Bill made there home in Vicenza, Orderzo, and Conegliano, Italy as well as Fort Sill-Lawton, Oklahoma. After Bills retirement from the Army in 1979, she and her husband settled in Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1994, they moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado to enjoy the beauty of Colorado that reminded her of her home in the Dolomites . Carolina was a devoted wife and a loving mother of her three boys. Cooking was her absolute passion and she could always be found in her kitchen, cooking up a number of fabulous Italian dishes from scratch. She never was a stranger to anyone, if someone visited her home, she made sure that they were properly feed and exemplified the true Italian Grandmother or Nonna. Many times, Nonna would enjoy knitting sweaters and socks for her grandbabies wanting them to be comfortable and warm during winters, and regaling the family with stories about her life in Italy, during and after the Second World War, the moment she met Bill and the trials and tribulations of raising three boys. She is survived by her Husband, William England of 58 years, three sons; Giorgio England of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Michael England of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and Marc England of Colorado Springs. Her daughters in law, Esther England of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Renee England of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Annie England of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her sister, Lidia Cunico of Rotzo is her only surviving sibling. Her grandchildren: Kristel England of Boulder, Colorado; Joshua England of Raleigh, North Carolina; Christoffer England of Parker, Colorado; Amanda England of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Matthew England of Clarksville, Tennessee and Daniel England of Fort Collins, Colorado. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, Rotzo, Italy and Australia. She is preceded in death by her Parents; her two older brothers, Giovanni of Coff Harbour, Australia and Onorio Dal Pozzo of Melborne, Australia and her younger sister, Maria Dal Pozzo Winn, of Lawton, Oklahoma.
