Carole Rae Greco Christner

Carole Rae Greco was born December 28th, 1937 and lived with her mother Stella Carleno and her grandparents Anthony and Lucia Carleno residing at 4010 Clay St. Her father was George P Greco. She attended St Catherine's and Columbia elementary and junior high schools and graduated from North High School in 1955. She attended UNC (known then as Colorado State College of Education). It was there she met her future husband Allen B Christner. They were married August 24th 1957. Carole was the ultimate caregiver; she took care of her husband and their four children, Michael Allen, Timothy Allen, Lori Rae and Susan Rae. She cared for her mother when she was diagnosed with cancer; she also cared for two aunts and an uncle, plus her step mother necessitating her traveling back and forth from Colorado Springs nearly every weekend. As her children married and the grandchildren began to appear, she helped their mothers by helping watch over them, picking them up from school when she moved back to Denver from Colorado Springs etc. There were 6 grandchildren, Gabrielle and Louella Christner, Tyler and Nicholas McCasky, Caleb and Ariana Squire. One has since graduated from college (Tyler), two are attending college Nicholas and Caleb, another is a Jr. in high school (Ariana) and Louella is attending pre-school. Approximately 10 years ago, Carole was diagnosed with Alzheimer's which claimed her life while she was at Allison Care Center in Lakewood. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
