May 5, 1937 - September 19, 2013 Mr. Carl J. Silvernail of Arvada, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Collier Hospice Care Center, he was 76 years old. He was born May 5, 1937 in Wayne Township, New York to the late Herman Florence Ollila Silvernail; in addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Silvernail Buck; He is survived by his wife of 54 Years, Janet Eileen Johnston Silvernail; Daughter,Kimberly Diane Silvernail; Son, Alan Carl Silvernail; Daughter, Teresa Marie Silvernail Dertina; Son-In-Law, Donald David Dertina; Grandchildren, Amanda Marie Silvernail Strausborger, Jordon David Dertina, Shaun Michael McKenna, Shane John McKenna, Hailee Marie Dertina; Grand Son-In-Law, Travis Strausborger; Great Grandchildren, Kylee Michelle Strausborger Kasen Carl Strausborger; Brother, H. Glennwood Silvernail; Sister, Carole June Silvernail Foster; Many nieces and one nephew, other relatives and friends. Carl will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Carl was an avid hunter and outdoors man. He loved camping and spending time with his family. He worked very hard his entire life. He served 4 years in the Air Force. He was a computer technician on large format computers. Services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10:00am at Crossroads Church of Denver Chapel, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 12:30 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "B"; Military Honors will be offered at the committal service.
