Caitlin N. King died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 following a lengthy battle for her health. Caitlin was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 26th, 1984 to Gennelle Haley-King and Michael A. King. She graduated Manitou Springs High School where she was very active in photography, volleyball and soccer. She also played club volleyball and was a member of the 16 Year Old team winning Gold at the Junior Olympics. She went on to pursue VB at Cal State Long Beach then returned to attend UCCS and CU-Boulder working toward a degree in microbiology, ultimately making her home in Longmont. She found her niche working in the food and beverage industry throughout college and afterward settling in at the Pumphouse in Longmont. Caitlin loved music, art, sports, travel and all things outdoors and she never met a creature she didn't like... except spiders and mosquitoes. Caitlin had eyes that sparkled, a wit that was sarcastic and crackling, a smile to light the sky and a heart of gold... she will be missed by many. Caitlin is survived by her mother Gennelle, father Michael and his wife Susan, brother Jeffrey and of course Lulu, her beloved German Shepherd, as well as extended family in North Carolina, Louisiana and Georgia. A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held on October 15th in Colorado Springs. Celebration of Life will be late-October, time tbd. A Celebration of Life for friends in Longmont will be held October 27th, 5 p.m. at the Pumphouse on Main street.
