Bruce Yaple

Bruce Yaple, was a beloved father, husband, brother and grandfather. Bruce, son of Jerry and Hazel (Johnson) Yaple, was born October 6, 1948, in Vicksburg, Michigan and succumbed to his battle with gastric cancer on December 29, 2016, in Lakewood, Colorado. Bruce is survived by his wife Libby (Miller) Yaple, his brother Rollo Yaple, his daughter Nicki Yaple-Robbins, his son-in-law Chris Robbins, and grandchildren Aimee Robbins and Blake Robbins. Bruce attended Vicksburg, MI Schools and went on to Central Michigan University graduating with a degree in business. After college he moved to Colorado and choose Lakewood for his home. While raising his daughter, Nicki, he became ingrained in the fabric of the community. He became and remained a Realtor for 40 plus years. Wanting to be of service Bruce joined Rotary, Elks and Kiwanis where he gave much time to the betterment of the community. Athletics were an integral part of his life, basketball, running, golf , swimming and dancing: both country and ballroom, kept him busy. While taking ballroom dance lessons he met his wife, Libby, they were married in one of his most cherished places, Redstone, Colorado, Nov. 14, 2004. Together they enjoyed traveling, cruising in both the Caribbean and Europe, and most recently touring in their new motorhome with their two dogs. Services will be held at Mile Hi Church of Religious Science, 9077 W. Alameda Ave., Alameda and Garrison, Lakewood, Colorado, January 12, 2017, 1:00 pm.
