May 18, 1959 - May 18, 2013 Brad “Buzz” Busley passed away unexpectedly and suddenly at his home on May 18th, 2013, his 54th birthday. He was born and raised in the Denver area and grew up in Golden where he attended Lakewood High School and University of Colorado at Denver. Brad is survived by his brothers (he was the kindest of the lot) Marc and Kent (Patricia), niece Lauren, nephew Douglas (Mekia), aunt Sara Loss (John), Treva Smith (Alex), Cary McCaffery and Richard Macintosh and predeceased by his parents Jean and Melvon Busley. He will be greatly missed by his friends, students and colleagues at the University of Colorado - Denver Physics Department. He worked for the university since the late 90s where among his many duties were the designing and manufacture of scientific instruments for the university as well as IT network management and uncountable other duties. His co-workers could always rely on his conscientious and meaningful contribution to the department. Brad was loved by his family and friends for his quick sense of humor and warm gentle regard for others all the while being fixated on his current project. He was kindred with his two older brothers. They frequently vacationed together in California, Colorado and Las Vegas. He has traveled to Russia and had other significant international interests. Brad truly loved walking along the beach (any beach…he wasn't picky) and appreciating nature and always loved the Mountains of Colorado. Known and admired for his passion for inventing and creating scientific devices and musical instruments and others. He held several patents for his unique inventions. Brad's hobbies reflected his creativity as well, evidenced by his many prose and writings which included several futuristic screen plays. He was also an experienced luthier, crafting unique multi-string touch board guitars. We will never forget his ability to enter a room and make everyone feel instantly loved and accepted with a big-bear-hug, as well as his contagious innate love for life and joyous playful manner. Donations should be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org (800) 213-5821. Brad, we all are so very grateful to have had you in our lives.
