Mrs. Billie Joyce King died peacefully surrounded by her family on August 12, 2016 at the age of 80. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to act.alz.org for Team Edith. Billie Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, William and Audrey, sisters, Valjean and Dolores and infant son Mark Alan. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband James Robert (Bob) and sister Elaine Meade. Her children Connie Sue Easterbrook (William), Kristie Ann Burnham, and Wayne Alan King (Sue Ellen). Her grandchildren Sheri Lynn, Nicholas, Alyssa, Whitney, Beau, and Tanya. Great grandchildren Hailey, Alexis, Parker, Braddock, Brody, Logan and Scarlett Grace. Billie was born June 23, 1936 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Shortly after, she moved to Maryland where she graduated from Oxen Hill High School in June 1954. In July, she met the love of her life and was married October 8,1954. Billie was a kind and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed expressing her creativity through drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting, playing the organ, ceramics and later in life became an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday August 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mile High Church of Religious Science 9077 W. Alameda Ave. Lakewood, Co 80226. Reception to follow.
