Betty Lou Hood

January 12, 1927 - December 26, 2011 Betty Lou Hood, January 12, 1927 - December 26, 2011. Betty was 84 when she passed away. She was born in Sterling, Colorado, to Louis Bartleson and Tressie Irish. She married Dan Cominiello and had one daughter. Though divorced, they remained close friends. She worked many years at the Coors Porcelain Company and made many long-lasting friends there. Betty enjoyed growing flowers and was vigilant about caring for and protecting animals. She fed every stray cat that came along and donated to several animal shelters regularly. The neighborhood animals, with or without a home, will miss her kindness. She spent much of her life living in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and made many friends by attending activities at the nearby Senior Community Center. She is survived by her daughter, Garadith Cominiello, her grandson Jason Secord, her granddaughter Jana Gross, Jana's husband Jeff, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 10 A.M., at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
